Goals and Purposes

As coaches our main goal is to provide to our players the best quality program we can give to them.

We believe in rugby as the best tool we have to teach our players discipline, courage and loyalty.

We use rugby to make sure our players became leaders, good decision makers and problem solvers while we keep them in good shape.

At East we play, coach and support rugby because we love it.  

Ramon Villacura. Head Coach.

Native from Chile. Coach "V" has a USA-IRB Level 2 Rugby Coach certification. He is a former rugby player with experience in High School, College and club level. He has been coaching youth rugby in USA since 2004. and has been appointed for 3 Years North Carolina U17-U19 Select Select Side Co-Manager. 

Jason Hichman. Forwards Coach. Game Strategy.

Coach Jason Hinchman is today’s starting front row forward for Charlotte Rugby Club (USA Super League - Best 16 teams in the Nation). 

Coach Hinchman played in college for Clemson and was the captain there from 2003-04 to 05-06.  He moved to Charlotte after graduating and have been playing on the Super League team ever since.  Jason mainly plays N2, but have played all other positions in the pack.  Coach Hinchman was recognized collegiate all star for 3 yrs and has been on the senior team all star team the last two years.
